Late in 2023, 400 Mynth Eggs were minted and distributed freely to the community. There was a window of time where these eggs were available to be hatched into rare Chameleons.

A total of 2,000 Chameleons have been minted. 400 of those Chameleons are rare. The other 1,600 Chameleons are known as common. There was a minting fee associated with Chameleons, and these fees were utilized to bootstrap liquidity for Mynth.

As all 2,000 Chameleons have been minted, it’s no longer possible to mint more. To obtain a Chameleon, users can use a service such as JPG Store to purchase Chameleons from other users.

As of today, Chameleons serve no utility. In the past, they provided MNT staking rewards to holders.
